Help a Hard Worker Over Short-Term Hump
My friend Beth is amazing. For most of the 30 or so years I’ve known her, she’s held demanding, high-profile jobs at well-known organizations in New York City and DC. She’s always worked hard and loyally for her employers. Now, she's fallen into a rough patch after a long period of unemployment that started during COVID. She's been doing all she can to find work. She's moving, too, from a home she loves--downsizing to a smaller apartment away from the brutally expensive DC area.
But when I learned she's facing eviction from her apartment and is behind on car payments, I realized, there must be some way to help out. So that's the goal of this GFM, to help Beth keep her car, avoid a formal eviction, and move to a new city, with a much lower cost of living, where she has connections and prospects to start again, fresh. Won't you pitch in?
