As many will know Beth suffered an extensive injury to her arm, located in the elbow, in a freak accident when a rock fell onto her at the beach last weekend. She was medi-vacced to Brisbane and has undergone surgery, with a skin graft scheduled for this week. It is clear that Beth is lucky to have survived . She now faces an extensive recovery time and while she will be with family until able to return to the Island, will have costs outside of those covered by Medicare as well as those to maintain her household on Norfolk. The immediate reaction of Beth's friends on Norfolk was to ask how they could help to support her in a practical way, knowing that medical costs away are always in excess of those covered by the 'system'. This led to a Go Fund Me being thought of as the best way for her many friends to help her. Beth, ever a giver, has only agreed to this happening with any excess funds to her needs being donated to the Sunshine Club of Norfolk Island.
