Cancer. The very word strikes terror in the hearts and minds of those that hear it. Most of us wish the victim well, and hope that that word is never directed at us. However, that blow has fallen on Beth Jessup, a 36 year-old mother with a year-old daughter. Beth has just been diagnosed with an aggressive form of cervical cancer. Her tea shop manager job was a victim of the pandemic. Her partner, Nate, is working day and night to support his family and can take only a limited amount of time off work to be with her as she undergoes this fight for her life. She needs daycare for her daughter during her surgery, recovery, and possible radiation and chemo treatments. She needs someone to care for her dog and make sure she is walked regularly. She needs dietary appropriate meals and groceries delivered or the funds to purchase them. A donation to Beth’s family is a greatly appreciated donation to her recovery, to the hope that she will recover and watch her daughter grow up.

Beth was a student in my 7th grade English class and the first friend my daughter made when I transferred her to Arcade Middle School as a 6th grader in 1999. She has been a part of our family ever since. She has grown from a sweet, silly, Hanson-loving child into one of the kindest, most loving women I have ever been privileged to know. Sharing in her life has been a blessing.

A grateful heart is a magnet for miracles, and Beth and her family are so appreciative of the generosity of the prayers and compassionate donations on their behalf. A miracle awaits.
