Help Beth fight a brain tumor!

Hello, my name is John and I am asking you to help save my sister's life. Beth is battling a massive, life-threatening, malignant, astrocytoma brain tumor.

She recently underwent neurosurgery and they removed a portion of the tumor but were unable to get it all. The surgery must be followed up by about seven months of radiation treatment and chemotherapy, and then regular check-ups with MRI's.

Things have been challenging for a number of years leading up to this because Beth's husband, Andy, has a medical condition of his own. Neither can work full time and they are raising 3 kids and trying not to lose the roof over their head, and then cancer struck. That's why we are reaching out to family and friends and anyone who is in a position to help.

Please consider a donation of any size to help Beth and her family cover basic living expenses and their portion of current and future medical costs.  The Kirkwood family motto is Spes Mea en Deo, so our hope is in God and we are grateful to all of you who will hold up in prayer Beth and her family to the throne of His grace.

Many Thanks,
John Kirkwood

Hello, I'm Beth. I'm 54 and a mom of 3. In May, 2002, 6-days after my son was born, I suffered a massive stroke.  The effects of the stroke left me with seizure disorder (epilepsy) for the paast 16 years which I have been able to manage with medication.

But this January (2018) the seizures became more frequent and troubling. After a routine MRI, it was discovered that I had a large mass (tumor) on my right parietal lobe that had to be removed because it was causing swelling on my brain.

The surgeon removed 80% of the malignant, stage-3 Astrocytoma, but could not get it all due to further risk to the brain. I now have to undergo aggressive radiation and chemotherapy treatments to try to stop the remaining tumor from growing. All of this is very costly and our limitd insurance doesn't cover it all.

My husband is unable to work full time due to his own medical condition and our bills are piling up, adding to the stress we already feel from my brain cancer.

I just want to fight this disease the best I can and continue to be a mom to my 3-kids and a wife to Andy. The are all struggling to make sense of this and hold on.

I would so appreciate you sharing this campaign and making any donation you can. This will enable us to cover our basic living expenses and fight this deadly disease.  We have unfortunately exhausted most of our small savings account trying to pay our mortgage and utilities, and we're basically out of money.

God bless you all for your prayers, well wishes, and help along the way. I am truly rich in faith, family, and friendship.

- Beth Joy
