Support Beth and Scott After the Eaton Fire
Donation protected
Hi everyone, my name is Mimi Hoang and I'm starting this GoFundMe for one of my best friends, Beth Powers, her partner Scott Doudrick, and his son Kieran, who were devastated after the Eaton Fire on Jan 8th, 2025. I've known Beth for almost 20 years. She is a very caring and giving person and was a bridesmaid at my wedding. Beth is a licensed clinical social worker (LCSW) who has dedicated her life to working in community mental health clinics and for Los Angeles County. She is also a longtime member of amBi Los Angeles and has always advocated for the rights of LGBTQ people and the underprivileged. Her kind and loving partner Scott is an aerospace engineer who was laid off from JPL in Spring 2024 after working there for 25 years. He has a son named Kieran who is 17 years old and is a senior in high school. They also have a dog named Claire and cat named Morty.

Beth has always been there for me during my darkest times, and so that's why I'm creating this fundraiser now to help her through this personal tragedy. It isn't easy to ask for help, and understandably, this incident is incredibly shocking and feels unreal.
They are devastated by the Eaton Fire. Scott had lived in Altadena for 20 years and Kieran grew up there. They are starting over in a small apartment, so they need much support. No amount is too small. They are very grateful for the donations received so far and will be providing updates on their progress.
