Any of you that know me well know how hard it is for me to do this, but sometimes you have to ask for some help.

In July, Karl stepped on a screw and because of diabetes, he wasn't able to feel it. It set up a nasty infection which caused his foot to have to be opened up and cleaned out. Also, because of the diabetes, it is very slow to heal, so he has been out of work since then and is probably looking at least another month or more before he can return to work.

During this time, we also found out I have kidney cancer and I'm having to have my right kidney removed. Unfortunately, that is going to require me to be out of work for a couple of months. Being a contract worker, I get no PTO or sick time, which means no income coming in.
