My name is Betania Canas, and I am a flutist, recording artist, and music educator.

I recently received a scholarship to study with world-renowned flutist Jeffrey Khaner at Lynn University. This is an opportunity I was not expecting but came my way as the result of years of dedication, hard work, and the belief that honest and disciplined work will path my way to a successful career.

Although I’ve been awarded a generous scholarship, the costs of relocation, travel, and mandatory international student fees, exceed what I can cover on my own right now.

Travel and moving costs $350

Initial housing expenses during the transition over $2400 (Boca Raton, FL)

Student visa processing fee $375

International Student fee $2200

*I ran out of my savings paying some of these items but have a few left to cover.
