Help Beta Handle the Passing of Their Father

We're coming to you guys for help regarding our friend Erezebeta. If you don't know Beta, let us tell you a little bit about the kind of person they are: they are incredibly funny, smart, warm, and witty. They are a fierce animal advocate. Even during the roughest of times, Beta has a way of making a lighthearted joke to put those around them at ease. If you're a friend of Beta's, they will be there for you - no matter the time or day. They're one of those friends that you turn to when in need of advice. Erezebeta is one of the most resilient people we know and they've come to our aid in times of crises, so we'd like to do the same for them.

Erezebeta has been a full-time Twitch streamer for 4.5 years now, but they have an extensive background in the animal rescue world. Around 8 years ago, while working with the animals, Beta contracted Lyme disease. The debilitating neurological/cognitive/physical effects of Lyme disease made them unable to work in that field anymore. Since then, Beta has struggled with this chronic disease every day. They have had to turn to a profession that allowed them to work from home - and that's how we all came to know and love Erezebeta today. This is also how Erezebeta came to do contract work for Paws Your Game, a nonprofit fundraising platform & community focused on financially assisting animal rescues for medical, behavioral, and sheltering needs. Beta's passion for saving animals never diminished.

The income from streaming full-time on Twitch is extremely inconsistent. Some weeks are great and some weeks can be incredibly scary if you have bills coming up. Not only that, but their contract work with Paws Your Game has also come to an end this past month. Erezebeta found that their only semi-stable source of income came from their lovely community on Fanhouse, which was just announced to be shutting down as well. All of this happening in one month has been detrimental to Beta's financial security and overall mental health. Erezebeta has been struggling financially for quite some time now. Their disability makes it difficult for them to even get out of bed some days. These past couple of weeks have been especially difficult for them, and now they've been hit with the passing of their father.

Beta's relationship with their father was complicated, but this news is still heartwrenching for them. With Beta's mother having already passed, they are the only remaining family member to deal with the costs of arrangements. Beta will need to pay for all of the arrangements, cremation, and transportation to sort through his belongings. Plus, the costs of having to take off work for however long this all takes.
