FAW Rescue - Help Bertie get his surgey

Hi everyone,

We are fundraising again for Bertie, the little Scottish fold.

Bertie went to Pride Veterinary Referrals today (his appointment alone was £340), who have advised his surgery needs to be done immediately and the only other option would be euthanasia if this cannot be done.

Bertie was brought to us with no rectum due to a severe defect. The breeder wished to euthanase but we wanted to give him a chance, which we would still like to do.

Unfortunately, the surgery would cost us between £800-£1000 today, which we currently do not have.

We also still have an outstanding vet bill of £1200 and more urgent appointments booked for today, in addition to other cats needing emergency care.

The surgery won’t be a guaranteed success but it is our last chance to help him.

We are working with the specialist surgeon and our first opinion vet at balancing cost, with prognosis, and quality of life.
