- My name is Bertha Denetclaw & I'm from Chimayo, New Mexico. I am 67 years old.
- On July 11th, 2025, at approximately between 10:30 - 11 pm, my mobile home started on fire due to the fact that my son has had some health issues & has been on oxygen & prior to his; my daughter who passed away recently as well, had been on oxygen also. Needless to say, my home had several oxygen concentrators along with oxygen tanks, all of this contributed to the fire!
- Due to ongoing medical expenses for me an my son, and losing my daughter due to illness, I suffered financial hardship and unfortunately I was not able to pay my home insurance.
- In a month and a week, I CANNOT find any emergency housing due to the fact that there has been a freeze on all funds by the government. Therefore, I find myself homeless living out of my vehicle. Never in my life did I ever imagine this for MYSELF!
- After all this, I find myself getting very ill. I'm to the point where I can't even walk at all... At this point, I am turning to you all if you can find it in your hearts to help me out starting my life all over again. I lost everything.
- It also scares me because winter is right around the corner. I desperately need some help.
