Bert has been on Wink News, Cape Coral Breeze newspaper, radio station 92.5 Daybreak morning show with Jason Jones, Rapper Flavor Flav Bluesky platform and Celebrity Jack Osbourne covered Bert's story on his YouTube live on 5/19/26!!

Bert, an 85 year old Navy Veteran who served his country and beat lung cancer, has been employed by Uber Eats Since April of 2025 to help pay for his wife's medical care. Committing to working 5 days a week for 7 to 8 hours each day so he can also pay monthly living expenses which have increased due to inflation and a staggering amount of credit card debt obtained from medical care for his wife Rae who is now dealing with the beginning stages of Dementia. Bert has now been forced to adjust his work schedule to X3 days per week because of the increased gas prices, which have made it difficult for him to afford fuel for his commute. The little money he made in tips has now been cut in half at no fault of his own. Bert has sent his resume out numerous times with no call backs. Unfortunately, his age is against him.

Bert has two problematic hips which make his mobility a problem most of the time and has also undergone surgery to remove half of a lung due to cancer. His 81 year old wife Rae accompanies him to work as she also struggles with balance issues and requires constant supervision to prevent any potential falls or injuries.

He is currently overwhelmed with various responsibilities and is facing significant financial concerns on top of everything. Regrettably, Bert has sustained injuries while making deliveries and climbing stairs.

One incident resulted in two black eyes and a very large contusion on his forehead as seen in the picture above. After suffering these injuries, I decided to create a fundraiser so Bert can end his Uber Eats ordeal.

I have initiated a fundraiser to support Bert in achieving the quality of life and dignity he deserves and to alleviate the financial burden of paying off a mortgage on his modest condo, managing maxed-out credit cards from medical expenses for Rae, and covering exorbitant monthly medication costs for himself and his wife. All funds raised will be used to pay off outstanding credit card debt from medical care for his wife. It would give Bert tremendous financial relief to pay off these cards and the interest accrued after so many years. Bert can really use more time caring for himself and his wife and less worry about how the next bill is gonna be paid.
