Help Me Avoid Homelessness and Keep My Best Friend, Tony
Hello,
I am reaching out for help in a desperate time. Despite being fully paid up on rent, I was recently evicted from my apartment by a property management company with a history of heartlessly evicting tenants instead of addressing their own responsibilities. Over the years, every previous tenant has had this experience. Unfortunately, unlike others who had family or places to go, I have no support system or alternative housing options.
I am at risk of losing my work-from-home job, all my possessions, and most heartbreakingly, my beloved cat, Tony. After paying my rent and bills, I have only $14 left. Tony has been my best friend since I moved to Maine from New Hampshire, and he has been a key part of keeping me going. The thought of losing him is unbearable. Though I have a license, I had to sell my car a while back to survive and am now carless.
I have contacted Pine Tree Legal for free legal help and reached out to the town hall, working tirelessly for the past week to find a solution. Despite my efforts, I am facing the reality of imminent homelessness.
Even a small donation of 50 cents would make a difference. I am not embarrassed to ask for money because sometimes you have to beg to survive, especially when you've been on your own your whole life.
I genuinely appreciate you taking the time to read my story and for any support you can offer.
Thank you, Bernie
