Hi, my name is Benny Lopez, and I'm reaching out with a heavy heart to ask for your support for my brother, Bernardo Boman. He is 62 years old and was recently diagnosed with stage 4 bile duct cancer (cholangiocarcinoma)—an aggressive and life-threatening illness.
Bernardo lives alone in Mexico, where he has worked most of his life as a dedicated and hardworking mechanic. He’s always been the kind of person who helps others—fixing neighbors' cars for little or nothing when they were in need, and never turning down someone who needed a hand.
In May 2025, he began chemotherapy, which has taken a major toll on his body. Unfortunately, his condition has made it impossible for him to continue working, and he has no consistent income right now. Living alone, with limited access to support, he's struggling to keep up with basic living expenses—including rent, food, utility bills, and transportation to medical appointments.
Our family, including myself and our sister, Gladys “Bella” Boman, live far from Bernardo and are doing everything we can emotionally and financially—but the distance and our own limitations make it hard to provide the help he urgently needs.
We’re hoping to raise $5000 to help Bernardo cover his day-to-day expenses during this incredibly difficult time. Every donation—no matter how small—will go directly toward keeping a roof over his head, putting food on his table, and ensuring he can continue his treatment without the added stress of financial worry.
If you can’t donate, please consider sharing this campaign with others. Your kindness, prayers, and support mean the world to us right now.
Thank you so much for helping us support Bernardo in his fight.
With gratitude,
Benny Lopez (Bernardo's brother)
On behalf of Gladys "Bella" Boman and our entire family
