A Little Help for Bernardo (OFW – Taiwan)

My name is Zenaida Lang, and I am humbly asking for help for my only brother, Bernardo, an Overseas Filipino Worker in Taiwan, who is currently fighting for his life.

On December 17, 2025, Bernardo was rushed to the ICU due to a sudden severe illness and was diagnosed with necrotising encephalitis, necrotising myositis of the left thigh, and septic shock. He has already undergone multiple surgeries, exhausting all our savings. We already used all our resources from the donations from his co-workers in Taiwan, some were covered by the insurance and my personal money. We spent a total £7,597.60, as of January 1, 2026 but it is still not enough. As he stays in the hospital, medical expenses are rising.

Bernardo remains confined at Landseed International Hospital and is scheduled for two more major surgeries in February 2026 at Link Chang Gung Memorial Hospital. We urgently need to raise £5,000 to help cover his upcoming surgeries, treatments, and recovery so he can eventually return home to Cebu and be with our mother.

This has been heartbreaking as Bernardo had just planned to marry his long-time partner, Jennie Rose, and was preparing for a hopeful future with his family.
