Dear friends,

As many of you know, Bernard’s sweet and brilliant young son, Daniel, suddenly and tragically left this world on Sunday. Daniel was 15.

As you can imagine, this loss is gutting to his parents. For his father Bernard, it also presents logistical and financial challenges, as Daniel's full-time residence was in Massachusetts, where he will be interred.

Bernard needs to book a last-minute flight to New England ASAP (it's expensive even with a small discount for “bereavement travel”) and secure modest lodging for his stay. Of course, he will be taking time off from his work, which adds to the financial impact.

(We are grateful that Daniel's final expenses are covered.)

Our goal is to fund Bernard's journey and to give him a little "breathing room" when he gets back so he can focus on healing.
