Hello everyone, my name is Bentley and I am a 4.5 year old bunny from upstate NY. I spent the first years of my life in a small cage with my sister, Clover, and have recently been rehomed with my 26 year old bunmom, Alice, in Brooklyn. I had an emergency visit to the vet this week where they discovered I am a very sick bun. I have severe dental disease that causes some of my teeth to be longer than others, which makes chewing very painful and difficult. Because of this I haven't wanted to eat or drink water which made me extremely dehydrated and caused my vitals to drop. Along with this, an abscess has grown between both sides of my jaw. The vets at Schwarzman Animal Medical Center are taking very good care of me and preparing me for surgery. Alice is looking for help to pay for my surgery, hospitalization, antibiotics, and emergency visit. She is also hoping to get pet insurance as I will need to routinely get my teeth shaven.
