I’m reaching out with a heavy heart to ask for help for my dog, Bentley. Bentley has recently been diagnosed with severe, drug-resistant epilepsy, a neurological condition that causes recurring seizures and can quickly become life-threatening.
Over the past weeks, Bentley has suffered multiple prolonged seizures, including episodes of status epilepticus, where seizures do not stop without emergency medical intervention. During these episodes, Bentley required urgent hospitalization, IV anticonvulsant therapy, oxygen support, and constant monitoring in a critical care unit.
Veterinary neurologists have recommended advanced diagnostics and long-term management, including:
• Emergency ICU hospitalization during seizure episodes
• Continuous IV seizure control medications
• MRI and neurological imaging to rule out brain lesions
• Cerebrospinal fluid testing and blood panels
• Long-term anticonvulsant medications and monitoring
• Ongoing specialist follow-up care
The estimated cost for Bentley’s treatment and stabilization is $15,000, and unfortunately, these costs accumulated very quickly due to the emergency nature of his condition.
Despite everything, Bentley is still fighting. With proper treatment and continued care, there is hope that his seizures can be controlled and that he can return to a stable, comfortable life.
I’m doing everything possible for him, but the financial burden of advanced neurological care is overwhelming. Any donation, no matter the size, will go directly toward Bentley’s medical bills. If you’re unable to donate, sharing Bentley’s story means just as much.
Thank you for taking the time to read this and for helping Bentley get the care he desperately needs
