Bentley, my Labradoodle, is quite possibly the most friendly and loving dog to ever bless this Earth. Neighbors, friends, strangers, other dogs, and even vets are always excited to see him because he’s always happy to see them; he doesn’t care why, he just loves getting to be with more people and getting love from them. He loves to roll around in the grass while playing with other dogs and just being a goofball all the time.
Something seemed off with him the other day, so we scheduled a vet appointment as soon as possible. We discovered he had a 105-degree fever, but there were no definite answers right away. One of the potential situations was a blood clot. After about eight hours, we were sent to the ER, and this morning we got the news that he’s in need of a medication that’s in low supply, so we need to reach out to local pharmacies. As well as that, they suspect that we may need to have a dangerous surgery in which they might have to remove his spleen to access the large blood clot. Not only is this dangerous for him, but it’s also expensive, and we have no idea if we can cover it.
Bentley has been my parents’ world since we got him as a puppy five years ago, and we already had a devastating loss of our other dog in September 2024. Everything received will go directly toward Bentley’s medication, potential surgery, and any related care to help him recover. If you can help us in this time of need, it would truly mean the world to our family. We’re already struggling after losing our other dog last year, and your support would make a huge difference.
