Help Benson and His Family Through Their Toughest Battle
Donation protected
My brother and sister-in-law are facing an unimaginable challenge, and they need our help. Their sweet two-year-old son, Benson, has just been diagnosed with a brain stem/spinal column tumor. Benson has already undergone brain surgery and is now beginning chemotherapy and immunotherapy treatments, which are expected to continue for the foreseeable future.
As if this weren’t enough, two years ago, their second-youngest son was diagnosed with a cognitive receptive disorder, adding countless doctor and therapy visits to their lives. Even before Benson’s diagnosis, their days were filled with medical appointments and the emotional strain of caring and wanting the best for their son.
Recently, their situation took another tough turn: their family car’s transmission gave out completely. In the midst of hospital runs and treatments, a reliable vehicle is crucial, and the unexpected burden of needing to replace their car is overwhelming. They need dependable transportation for these frequent trips to hospitals and doctors, but the cost is a major hurdle during an already challenging time.
Adding to their stress, their community was recently hit by Hurricane Helene. Thankfully, they are safe and have power, but the storm has added another layer of difficulties to an already overflowing plate.
Their family is carrying so much. We are asking for any support you can provide—whether it’s to help with the mounting medical bills, assist with getting a reliable vehicle, or simply to ease the burden of day-to-day expenses. Every dollar makes a difference, and every share of this post could connect us to someone who can help.
Please consider donating, if you can. You can contribute directly through GoFundMe or via Venmo to @carolinepeterson.
If financial help isn’t possible, sharing this page can still have a huge impact. The love, generosity, and prayers of our community mean everything to us and to Benson’s family. Thank you for being a part of their journey and for helping bring a little light into a very dark time. ❤️
