On March 19 Ben the (Commish) started to feel a tingling sensation in his toes while shooting pool. During the night he said his feet and hands went numb. By the evening of the 20th he had to be admitted into the hospital. Ben was diagnosed with Gullian Barre syndrome. By the 23rd he was intubated and in the ICU, that is where he has been ever since. The doctors say that he can make a recovery but currently he's not responding to the plasma exchange treatments. He's had 5 already and the doctors are thinking about doing a 6th. After the first 14 days intubated they had to give him a tracheostomy. Ben is not doing well, he had 3 weeks of PTO and we are applying for short term disability which is 13 weeks if approved. His family needs help covering his expenses while he's unable to. Insurance alone is $900 per month. We have visited some long term acute care facilities and I think we found one in Land O Lakes, FL. Currently Ben cannot talk or move. He is paralyzed. His mind is ok but his body is not. He's fighting an infection right now and just not showing any signs of progress.

I'm Danielle the (ex ComMrs) and our daughter is handling all of his affairs. I know he has a large following on the Raider Reaction and we are asking for any donations you can spare. His pool league friends are throwing a benefit for him as well which is greatly appreciated. I don't know where to turn for help.
