Yesterday, our beloved 2-year-old golden retriever, Benny, was tragically hit by a car in front of our home. The driver did not stop, and Benny has been fighting for his life ever since. He suffered a pneumothorax (collapsed lung), pulmonary contusions, a severely dislocated arm, multiple lacerations, and a possible prepubic tendon tear.

Thanks to the quick action of emergency vets, Benny underwent surgery to repair his arm and had a chest tube placed to help him breathe. His condition is critical but stable, and his medical team is closely monitoring him around the clock.

Benny has a long road to recovery ahead. He’ll be in a spica cast for at least the next 8 weeks, followed by extensive physical therapy and ongoing medical care to heal and regain his strength.

The emotional and financial toll has been overwhelming. We are asking for any support you can give to help cover the cost of his emergency surgeries, hospitalization, follow-up treatments, physical therapy, and rehabilitation.

Benny is the sweetest, most loving companion, and he means the world to our family. Any contribution — no matter how small — will help us give him the chance he deserves to recover and live a happy, healthy life.
