Hi, my name is Daniel. I'd like to introduce to you our family dog, Bennie. He is a 4 year old Shih Tzu mixed with who knows what. If you have ever met him, you know that he is the sweetest dog. He loves cuddles, his teddy bear, and baby carrots, surprisingly.

A few days ago, he started experiencing pain, discomfort and lethargy. We rushed him to the emergency vet. On the way there, we noticed he was no longer supporting himself with his rear legs. By the time, we reached the emergency facility, he could no longer feel pain or any sensation in his rear legs.

We opted into getting an MRI for him to see what was wrong and the scans found that he had a herniated disc. We instantly decided to go with the necessary operation to try and save his life. The next morning, he underwent surgery and after 2 days at the vet, he is back home; however, the feeling and motor function of his rear legs are still absent and are more than likely never going to come back. Bennie went from being one of the most energetic and happy dogs to suddenly not being able to move without our assistance.

The MRI, surgery, and hospitalization fees exceeded over $7,000. We are asking for your help in providing Bennie with additional support to cover a portion of the vet fees, necessary purchases to accommodate his new lifestyle, and future hospital visits.
