Help Bennett Recover and Reunite with Family
Donation protected
Bennett has always been a hard worker, managing a local cement company in Sturgeon Bay and building a life with his wife and their beloved rescue dog. Even after being diagnosed with Parkinson’s disease, Bennett didn’t let it slow him down—he took a part-time job at Pick n Save behind the meat counter, determined to stay active and support his family despite the challenges of his condition. His resilience and dedication have always inspired those around him.
In late March, Bennett underwent what was expected to be a routine heart valve transplant. Unfortunately, complications arose soon after surgery, leading to a severe mental and physical decline. He was transferred between hospitals and specialty facilities, and now, due to insurance complications, he’s in a nursing home that cannot provide the therapy and care he urgently needs. This has led to a loss of mobility and repeated hospitalizations for pneumonia. His wife has been by his side every step of the way, but the mounting medical bills, travel expenses, and the need for lodging near his care facilities have quickly depleted their emergency funds. Their dog, who means so much to them, also needs care and companionship while Bennett’s wife is away.
We’re raising funds to help cover Bennett’s medical bills, travel and lodging for his wife, physical therapy to restore his mobility, and support for their dog during this difficult time. Our family is doing all we can, but the costs are overwhelming. Any support will help Bennett get the care he needs and bring him closer to returning home to his family and the life he worked so hard to build.
