HELP BENNETT RECOVER AND REBUILD AFTER HOME FIRE

Hello,

I’m writing this in an attempt to help the most selfless man I know get some extra help. My brother, Bennett, is my best friend and one of the most helpful people I know, and right now he needs an extra hand.

This morning (December 1st 2023), I woke up to a phone call from my mom informing me that Bennett’s home caught fire and burned this morning at 5am. I am so very grateful to say that he woke up in time, was able to get out and is physically OK. But he has lost just about everything. The fire started in a boarded up house directly next-door to his. The home was inhabited by squatters, this is the second time that this house has caught on fire this year. Last time his house was spared but this time he wasn’t as fortunate as the fire jumped the driveway and blazed through his home. He made it out in time to watch everything in the front area be engulfed in flames. The items in his house that didn’t catch on fire are now damaged by either smoke or water. Bennett’s home held basically everything he needed to make a living, including his secondary inventory for his vintage clothing shop. Bennett makes a majority of his income working as a freelance set builder for "art department", a variety advertising and design directors in LA, which he had all of his tools required for this job at the house, and are all gone now.

I’m hoping to get some funds together to help alleviate his stress, him find a new place to live and start to rebuild from the ground up. 100% of the money raised from this will go to him.

Pretty much every person who has interacted with Bennett has a story of how great of a person he is, and they’re correct. He is one of the first people to volunteer to help out and show up when a friend is in need, hopefully we can use this as a way of doing the same for him in his time of need.

Please consider throwing a couple bucks at him if you are able to, and if things are a little too tight right now SHARING this will also make a world of difference.

Anything helps. Love ya’ll.
