Bennett had an eye exam on this morning because he'd been seeing double for the past few weeks. The optometrist saw swelling in his optic nerves and sent us directly to an ophthalmologist. He was seen right away. The ophthalmologist told us we needed to get to the ER immediately for an MRI and a lumbar puncture. The MRI revealed a 4.4 cm mass in the right front lobe of his brain that is causing a 6 mm midline shift. They believe it is cancer.

We saw a pediatric neurosurgeon in Boise today who was incredible! He spent two hours with us answering questions, explaining the procedure, and helping us navigate this. He said the mass has well-defined margins and is right at the surface. It doesn't appear to be vascular or fast-growing, which is a hopeful sign.
Bennett will go into surgery on Wednesday 5/13/26 at 7:30 AM. We expect he will be out of surgery around midday. He will stay in the PICU overnight, then in the hospital for 3-7 days, depending on how he responds.
The hospital staff is working to get us into the Ronald McDonald House, so please pray for that, as well as the imaging the doctor needs to better identify the access point to the tumor.
We are so grateful for your prayers!! They're working, so please keep 'em coming! You're welcome to share far and wide. We need all the prayer support we can get.
The love and support of our village have been overwhelming and humbling. We appreciate you so much more than we can put into words.

Let praise arise!!! We got into the Ronald McDonald house! Thank you for praying! He hears and He answers! The kindness and support you've all shown our family over the past few days has blessed us beyond belief.
Bennett is pretty sad to know he will be missing out on swim team this summer, so we're spending today at Auntie's hotel pool and trying to capture all the smiles. Thank you for all the meals, hugs, and financial support, but most of all, for your prayers. It's such a comfort to have so many people lifting us up to the Maker of heaven and earth.
