My emotional support dog, Benji, was stolen from my yard in southwest Philly on September 27, 2025. For months, I searched and hoped for his safe return. On April 6, 2026, ACCT Philly received an anonymous call that Benji had been in a fight with another pitbull, suffered a broken jaw, and was seen roaming the streets. The next day, ACCT Philly contacted me to let me know Benji was found, but he was badly injured and needed urgent medical care.

They told me that Benji needs surgery to repair his left mandibular fracture, dental surgery, and a CT scan. The total cost for his care is more than I can afford right now. If I can't pay for his treatment, they said Benji would be given to an offshore veterinarian and eventually adopted out to another family once he heals. It breaks my heart to think of losing him again, especially after everything we've both been through. I haven't even had the chance to see him since he was found, and the thought of him being taken away because I can't afford his care feels like losing him all over again.

The funds raised will go directly toward Benji's surgery, dental care, and recovery, so he can come home where he belongs. They will also help me seek justice for Benji and prosecute those responsible for stealing him, to protect other pets and families from going through the same pain.
