We are friends of Benjamin Adelekan, reaching out with a humble and hopeful heart. Until six months ago, Benjamin was a healthy 40-year-old man, a dedicated husband, and a hands-on father to two beautiful young children. But in an instant, his world came crashing down.

A fall at work (building sites, doing tiling and construction) took away his ability to walk, revealing a severe and painful condition he had been silently battling. Now, he is mostly confined to a bed, unable to work or even play with his kids. His family's future hangs in the balance and he desperately need your help to walk again.

What Happened? Understanding the Medical Crisis

Extensive medical tests after the fall, reveals a diagnosis of Bilateral Avascular Necrosis of the Femoral Head.

In simple terms:

The "ball" part of the hip joint (the femoral head) has died because its blood supply was cut off. Think of it like a plant that has been starved of water – it withers and collapses. In Benjamin’s case, this has happened in both hips, making it impossible for him to bear weight or walk without excruciating pain.

The Financial Mountain He Faces:

The doctors have made clear that the only way he can regain his mobility, and life back is through a surgical operation called Bilateral Hip Replacement. This means both of his damaged hip joints will be replaced with artificial ones.

The total cost for this life-changing surgery and recovery is about 9 Million Naira (approximately £4,500).

This breaks down as:

· 7 Million Naira: For the bilateral hip replacement operation itself.

· 2 Million Naira: For essential rehabilitation, medications, and post-operative care to ensure he fully recovers and can learn to walk again properly.
