Help Our Dad Get the Liver Care He Desperately Needs
Hello, we are the Trejo family, and we are reaching out on behalf of our dad, Benjamin, who is just 50 years old and fighting for his life.
For the past three years, our dad has been battling liver cirrhosis, and in the last seven months, his condition has progressed to end-stage liver disease. His liver is no longer functioning, and without proper treatment (including access to a liver specialist and a possible transplant), his life expectancy is severely limited.
This summer has been challenging. He has been in and out of the hospital constantly, and he is currently admitted again as his condition continues to decline. Even with the efforts of his doctors, they’ve told us that without financial support, they cannot give him the care he urgently needs.
One specialist recommended palliative care, which essentially means managing his symptoms without pursuing further treatment.
Something we’re not ready to accept.
We’ve spoken to specialists in the Baltimore area, but financial assistance is unavailable. The cost of travel to and from specialized hospitals, frequent medical appointments, and uncovered medical expenses are becoming overwhelming for our family.
We are asking for your help to cover:
•Transportation to medical facilities
•Temporary lodging near the transplant center
•Treatments and medications
•Daily living expenses while my dad is unable to work
Our dad has always been the main provider for our family, working hard every day to take care of us. Now we’re doing everything we can to take care of him.
If you can donate, share, or even just keep him in your thoughts and prayers, it would mean the world to us. Every little bit helps!
Thank you for your kindness, support, and generosity.
With gratitude,
His wife Maria, and his four children Pilar, Lizbeth, Ben, and Daniela Trejo
