Help Benjamin Overcome Health Challenges

Hi, my name is April Adcock and I’ve set up this page for my partner in life, Benjamin Huntley. He has dedicated almost 40 years to his airline career and is the hardest worker you will ever meet. The past ten years have not been easy for him but he never complains and continues to work hard at home and at work. Those of you who have seen what cancer can do to a loved one, or even yourself, having beat the cancer is only half the battle. Stage 4 throat cancer (no, not from smoking!) led to chemo, radiation, neck dissection, loss of all teeth, and many more side effects I won’t mention. A few weeks ago while at work he suffered an optic nerve embolism resulting in total blindness in his right eye. We found out radiation causes your arteries to thicken and become sticky in the area that was treated (his neck, throat) and led to 100% blockage on his right side. His left side is 80% blocked and he is due to have surgery to fix this in a few weeks. He continues to work even though he easily becomes dizzy, light headed, and disoriented. Did I mention he’s stubborn?? His recovery time Is 4-6 weeks and he unfortunately has no sick time. (Oh did I also mention after Covid in December 2020 he suffered two mini strokes? He probably didn’t tell anyone). He is very private and will probably be very angry with me for even setting this up but I want to keep him around for 30+ years so we can enjoy all the fruits of his labor. Any help is a blessing and I thank you from the bottom of my heart.
