My name is Benjamin Meshack, and I am a Registered Dialysis Nurse from Tanzania with more than seven years of experience caring for critically ill patients. I currently serve as a Dialysis Applications Specialist and Hemoperfusion Technology Trainer—the first and only trainer of this technology in Tanzania.
For years, I have dedicated my life to helping kidney patients survive some of their toughest moments. Every day in the dialysis and critical care units, I see how advanced training can save lives. My goal has always been to become a highly skilled, BSN-prepared nurse so I can provide safer, more effective care to my patients and strengthen kidney care across East Africa.
Recently, I received a life-changing opportunity:
I have been admitted to Minnesota State University, Mankato (USA) to pursue a Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) for Fall 2026.
I was also awarded the International Maverick Scholarship, which significantly reduces my tuition as an international student.
This is more than an academic goal—
It is my path to advanced training that will directly impact patient care in Tanzania.
Why I Am Raising Funds
Although I am deeply grateful for the scholarship, I still need financial support to cover:
- Tuition balance
- Mandatory university fees
- U.S. visa (F-1) financial requirements
- Living costs needed to receive the I-20 form
- Travel and settlement expenses
My family’s income is limited, and although I am saving from my nursing salary, it is not enough to meet the full requirement. Without financial proof, I cannot receive my visa or begin my studies.
That is why I am humbly turning to the global community for support.
