Benjamin Asimeng, a 25 year old determined young man and one of four children raised by a hardworking single mother. For the past two years, Benjamin has been living with persistent and worsening pain in his hips. After finally seeking medical attention, he was diagnosed with avascular necrosis — a serious condition that causes the bone tissue in the hip to die due to lack of blood supply.

Despite the pain, Benjamin refused to give up. He had earned admission to the University of Manitoba in Canada, a huge milestone and a dream opportunity. With no financial support and limited resources, he pushed himself to work and raise money for tuition and related expenses — all while battling severe pain.

Sadly, his condition worsened. The pain became unbearable and eventually left him bedridden, forcing him to put his education and dreams on hold.

Due to financial hardship, Benjamin could no longer afford regular hospital visits, medications, or proper medical care. Out of desperation, he turned to traditional treatment as it was the only option available to him at the time.

Recently, with the help of generous friends, Benjamin was able to visit St. Joseph’s Hospital in Koforidua, a facility well known for its specialized care in bone-related conditions. The news was devastating ,his condition has significantly deteriorated, and he now urgently needs surgery on both hips to prevent further damage and permanent disability.

Each hip surgery costs 72,000 Ghana cedis, bringing the total needed to 144,000 Ghana cedis. This life-changing procedure will relieve his pain, restore his mobility, and give him a chance to rebuild his future.
