On Sunday afternoon, our family’s world changed in an instant. Our father, Benigno Menjivar—known to many as Nino—suffered a devastating accident while doing the work he loves. After a lifetime of working tirelessly for others, Benigno took a leap of faith a few years ago to establish his own successful landscaping and tree service. Tragically, while working the job he built with his own hands, he fell from a tree, resulting in a fractured spine. He was rushed into emergency surgery, and while the procedure was successful, his journey is far from over. Benigno is now facing a mandatory, intensive rehabilitation period to regain his strength and mobility, as he is currently unable to walk. This will require weeks of dedicated effort and specialized care to help him get back on his feet.

To those who know him, our father is the true definition of a "helper." He is a loving husband, a devoted father, and a proud grandfather to six little ones who absolutely adore him. He is the first person friends and neighbors call when they are in a bind, always showing up with a selfless heart and a helping hand. Now, the man who has always been there for everyone else needs us to be there for him.
