Help Benighted Entries Fund Their TV Pilot

Hello and welcome to our GoFundMe page for our fourth-year TV Pilot Benighted Entries. If you contribute to this will help us get the necessary funds to be able to film the project. The funds will be used to help with the production design of the film. It will also help with getting the cast and crew through the scheduled 8 day shoot we are planning on doing. The funds will also help with many more things that we will be showing you in the future. We will need these funds by the end of March in order for us to be able to have all the equipment needed for our shoot in April. Story

 

Logline:

Set in the backwoods of Leitrim, after several locals’ experience delusions from exploring a burrow under a hawthorn tree, The Army Ranger Wing are sent to seek out answers in the benighted tunnel. Upon exiting the tree, the team begin to realise they’ve entered an alternative timeline which throws them into deep paranoia.

 

Shoot Dates:

April 6th 2022 - April 13th 2022

Characters and Cast:

32-year-old Sinead Swords, known as Swords. She is confident in her abilities due her expertise and her achievement in becoming the first women in the Army Ranger Wing. In her alternative timeline her husband is alive, yet she isn’t allowed to see him as her superior Commandant McInerney wants her to prevent contamination of personalities between worlds as he oversees this mission.

We have chosen Clare O'Malley who has decent experience in small projects on screen. In previous roles she holds poise and backbone. She played a minor role in Creed where once again she held an intimidating demeanor. These elements are crucial for Sword’s persona.

 

In charge of the team, we have a jaded Killian Hackett who is 34. Initially he is level-headed yet begins to experience jealousy over the career success his double has achieved.
We have Carl Fitzpatrick as he fits the rugged look to compliment Killian’s long career in the military. He has a history of playing confident characters



Our other character we have is 27-year-old Aiden Lynch who is the youngest in the team. He has a strong work ethic as the rest do and is ambitious. Though due to the lack of experience he displays signs of anxiety.
We have Gerard Lambe to play this role. He appears to play vulnerable charismatic characters quite naturally.



Close to Aidan and has been with him since training is Jordan Ryan. Same age as Aidan, Jordan is the comic relief and someone the audience can seek solemn with at the start as he is goofy and relatable.
Paddy Sherry will play this character. Having previously worked with him he is very professional and versatile. Incorporating his comedic background can make this combination fully realize Jordan’s character.



Siobhan Quinn offers an objective intellectual perspective of this abnormal world as she works with the team allowing the audience to understand the idea of this gate and parallel timeline. This 28-year- old character is a highly intelligent woman who looks up to Swords who is newly appointed to the Army Ranger Wing.

Sionnan Dunne will be casted as she has great enthusiasm for the project and has previously worked on DkIT projects. She also has had small roles on screen. As a companion to Swords her physical feature compliment Clare’s. She appears very confident on camera.



Commandant McInerney controls the mission being 54 years old. At the start he appears an average commander however once the team encounter his double it appears he knows much more than them creating a malicious presence as he withholds this knowledge.
We have Michael O’Sullivan to play this leader. In many of his previous work he often plays stern characters quite well. He has an extensive career in acting on stage and on screen.



At 36, Catherine Walsh plays an important figure as she is held captive by the army due to her reappearance. This has taken a toll on her mental health as she struggles to help the team.
Sarah Josephine M'rad has be selected to play Walsh as her audition showed how in control she is in with her acting. She has the ability to fully realize this character.



To play 33-year-old Rhys Swords, we have Corey Millar. He has built a decent career working on short films whilst recently working as a small role on Frank Berry’s upcoming film Aisha. His appearance works great as an army member and his acting is quite natural which is fundamental to have for Swords and Rhys’ tumultuous relationship.



Finally, to play Martin we have Kieran McCagne. The character Martin is an aggressive person who is the main reason why his house is getting raided by the army. Kieran does Krav Maga as a hobby so has built up the physique and persona quiet well as an intimidating man. With minor roles in a few productions, he can pull off this small role with the look alone.
