Help Beni and Bambina Walk Again after Spinal Surgeries

Donation protected
These are Beni & Bambina, my best friends in the entire world. The funniest bilingual weiner gods, sorry DOGS lol you could ever meet (if you pass the vibe check, of course).

On Friday April 18th, Beni became distant following a routine morning walk before breakfast. He began to tremble and hide under the bed. As dog owners, we immediately got concerned knowing this could mean that theres some sort of pain involved in this behavior. We immediately called our vet and began to monitor him non-stop until they were able to evaluate him.

What started as a slow walk, turned into wonky steps, falling, and later on, little-to-no movement in the lower area of his body. Our boi couldn’t even drag this legs this morning (Monday). He was so tired and seeing him undergo so much pain and discomfort is beyond heartbreaking to say the least.

We’d like to take this time to shout out Banfield Pet Hospital of Pasadena & VCA Animal Specialty Group for the incredible attention in such a fast pace. They immediately took us in despite it being Easter weekend.

We held on to much faith, following all the instructions provided by our doctors but Beni slowly declined in motion. He is now in recovery after having an $11,000 spinal surgery in hopes of recovering any sort of movement.

TWO WEEKS LATER,

On Sunday May 4th, in an unimaginable turn of events, our sweet baby girl Bambina all of a sudden began to give us the same signs of pain we encountered with Beni in the first place. Us being traumatized by Beni's surgery, we re-enforced our strict pawrenting. There was absolutely no jumping around, no walks, nothing that could cause any type of injuries when this occurred, and yet by genetics, here we are again.

We've been in and out of the emergency room for a week, spending thousands and thousands of dollars trying to keep both Beni & Bambina a float with all proper examinations & medications.

But we had no luck. Bambina declined quickly, even more so than Beni.

We rushed her back to the Pet hospital on May 6th where the staff, as shocked as we were, took immediate action to get her hospitalized. The doctor was so empathetic, she kept it short. We're about to receive the same bad news: "I'm sure you know the protocol we are about to follow in preparation for surgery".

We said goodbye to Bambi & signed off the $10,000-$12,000 estimate to begin surgery tomorrow morning.

To those who don’t know us, Gabe and I (Ashley)
are two hard working middle class musicians/ 9-5 folks who love and support everyone and everything we love with every fiber of our being. To those who do know us, you know we are a pair of prideful hardworking latinos who would never ask for any help.

This time we don't have a choice.

We are trying to cover this $20,000 hit, we are short to cover Bambina's hospital discharge in the next few days, and we have a long journey ahead of us that will require much more than we can afford.

As we make adjustments to what our new lifestyle will be, we’d like to kindly ask for any donations, no matter how little it could be, even if it’s a penny. ANYTHING will help us get through this.

If you are unable to donate, we completely understand. A bit of your time to share this GoFundMe will do.

From the bottom of our hearts,

GRACIAS, we love you.
