Help Patti Cover Medical Bills Post-Stroke

Donation protected
I'm generally an open book on the socials, but I've kept my situation under wraps for the past 14 months.

Last March, I was unceremoniously dismissed from my job - without warning and with no specific performance deficiencies defined. I've been without medical coverage for 12 months.

Here's where it gets exciting: last week, on May 2, I had a stroke. Fortunately, I was with friends who knew all the right things to do. I had an ambulance ride to the hospital and was admitted for four days - two of which were in the ICU. I am quite lucky to have no lasting effects. I do, however, now have a handy little heart monitor implanted in my chest to try and determine the cause so we can prevent further occurrences. That little gadget is a large portion of my hospital bill. Some bills are still rolling in - like from the cardiologist and neurologist. The overall hospital bill was, mercifully, reduced due to my uninsured status. The remaining balance would wipe out my savings entirely, leaving me nothing to live on from day to day.

Despite that reduction and my current state of unemployment - which I am working to overcome on a daily basis through applications and interviews - my current savings balance is insufficient to cover the expense. I'm reaching out to those who might be inclined and able to help out with a small donation or simply to pass this along. You've stepped up to help me in times of need for my pets in the past - and now I'm asking for myself.
