Help Gisele Strauch &Gershon Rabinowitz with Moving Expenses

Opening up about personal issues is difficult for me in a public forum.

Often times I fear how people will react and the perception they have of me as an individual.

But for as much of a struggle as this is I feel the need to express my current situation and ease some of my personal burden.

Recently I learned that we will need to vacate the apartment we were living in for the past 15 years by the end of August and do not know where we will live nor afford the expense of moving.

My mother lost her job as a recreational social worker just before the pandemic and exhausted her savings trying to pay the rent and make ends meet.

Over the last decade, I tried making a career for myself in the journalism field but could not secure full-time employment and I am struggling to figure out alternate means of employment without the proper degree or training.

My issues are obviously creating increased levels of anxiety and I deeply regret letting myself fall into an extremely vulnerable position.

I am also facing road blocks seeking help, sympathy, empathy, and understanding from my local community, including friends, family, neighbors and public outlets.

It is a situation that greatly troubles me and causes me to isolate and perhaps distrust others more than I should.
