Help Benda family rebuild life after house fire

On May 26, 2023 an unimaginable tragedy happened to the Benda family when an uncontrollable fire broke out and tore through their home, completely gutting their house and possessions. Luckily, the four members of the Benda family - John, Carol, Kristen and Jamie were unharmed. Unfortunately, their beloved cats Sunshine and Peek-a-Boo were unable to escape the fire.

When the fire broke out, the family was able to flee with just clothes on their backs and nothing more. Family photos, cell phones, purses, car keys and everything accumulated since the family moved into the home in 1996 were destroyed in the flames. The home has been destroyed, and no items are salvageable.

The Benda family have been members of the community for decades. John works for the city, while Carol works in the local school system. Kristen and Jamie both graduated David Brearley High School, before earning degrees at Penn State and Rowan University, respectively. Jamie graduated from college just last week and returned to her family home mere days before the tragedy.

We are asking for donations of any amount to help the Benda family restore their lives and return to some form of normalcy post-fire. Funds will go towards everything from buying essentials to helping rebuild their family home they have known and loved for over 25 years.
