Hi! My name is Moth and I'm raising funds to help cover an emergency surgery that my 7 year old chihuahua, Benny, just had. My partner and I were away on tour when Benny slipped a disc in his back and experienced numbness in his legs. It was classified as grade 4 IVDD and required urgent spine surgery. Since Benny is relatively young and was in a lot of pain, we decided to get him the best care possible and worry about the money later. His vet bills and surgery costs amount to $12,500+. Thankfully we have pet insurance that will cover some, but not all of this cost. Benny still faces an uphill battle and could be paralyzed or have limited mobility for the rest of his life. He will require 4-6 weeks of intense recovery and constant supervision. My partner is going to take off of work to stay with him and care for him, which will increase the financial strain on us as a family.
