Hi, my name is Ashleigh and I’m setting up this fundraiser on behalf of my cousin Zoe and her Fiance Ben, who has recently been diagnosed with Stage 4 ALS/MND (Motor Neurone Disease)

The same cruel and progressive condition that affected Stephen Hawking.

It affects the nerves in the brain and spinal cord, eventually taking away the ability to move, speak, eat, and breathe.

Ben is just 43 and has been with my cousin, Zoe for 17 years. Together, they’ve built a beautiful life and are raising nine children a loving, tight-knit family now facing the unthinkable.

They are devastated by this diagnosis. But there is hope — and that hope lies in Beijing, China, where a specialist stem cell treatment could change the course of his illness.

Why We Need Your Help

Ben has been accepted for stem cell therapy in Beijing, but the cost is beyond anything they can manage alone.

We need to raise £30,000 to cover:

The stem cell treatment

Travel to and from China

Accommodation and medical support while there

Additional equipment or care Ben may need after treatment

This treatment could give Ben more time, better mobility, and a greatly improved quality of life.
