Hi, my name's Matt, and I work with Skye McFarland at the McKinney Center. I've come to know Skye and her partner Ben in my time here and find them to be some of the kindest, most considerate, and most helpful people I've known.

If you know Ben, you know that his kidneys suck through no fault of his own. He has kidney failure and has to receive daily dialysis treatments that last about 3 hours. His poor arm looks like when you accidentally put your bedsheet over your cats: so many strange lumps. It is a miserable, painful experience for anyone, but most people with it don't have to go through it in their mid-30s.

But, as of this morning, Ben has received a kidney transplant in Nashville! Awesome! He's got a new guy in there working with the old, broken guys, showing them how it's done. However, as a result of his kidneys being unable to work for the past few years, Ben has been unable to work for the past few years. Not awesome! Ben & Skye are a one-income family now and this is the American healthcare system so they need your help. In addition to whatever the medical costs will end up being, Skye now has to stay for an extended period of time in Nashville while Ben recovers.

Things are rough right now for most of us, but we're just asking for anything extra you could afford. Ben & Skye have helped so many over the years so let's just try to pay back a fraction of what they deserve.
