Hello, I’m Ben and I’m transgender. 

I have gender dysphoria which means my mind doesn’t match my body, and causes me great discomfort. 

I am fundraising for money towards top surgery (or chest masculinisation surgery), which is the removal of breast tissue. This surgery will make me feel comfortable in my own body and allow me to finally have confidence in being me!

The waiting list for this surgery on the NHS is a minimum 7 year wait at the moment. This is excruciating for trans people to be experiencing gender dysphoria for this amount of time. So, in an attempt to live a better life sooner, I’m trying to pay privately for surgery. This surgery costs upwards of £7000 and although I’ve been saving for a while now and working as much as I can to put towards this, it is still going to take me a long time to reach the total. So, after a bit of convincing from friends and family, I thought I’d try setting up this page.
