Hello all!
Recently, I was selected to play for Team USA at the World Junior Ultimate Championships in Logroño, Spain, this summer! This has been a dream of mine since I joined the Jackson-Reed HS team as a freshman, and it is an absolute honor to be given this opportunity.
I started playing ultimate during middle school, but truly fell in love with it starting my freshman year of high school. To me, what is so special about the sport is the community that surrounds it, encouraging love, support, and growth. Every teammate, coach, opponent, parent, and any frisbee community member in general has treated me according to these values, creating a culture where everyone succeeds and has fun playing the sport that I’ve come to love so much.
Because ultimate is still a growing sport, this honor also comes with costs left up to the players to cover, totaling over $5000 dollars for travel, housing, team dues, and more. To help cover the expenses, I have set up this fundraiser. Any donation, no matter the size, really helps and means the absolute world to me.
Thank you to all who have helped me along the way, whether on the field or off it and thank you for your support in helping me live my dream of playing for Team USA!
Ben
