Help Ben Marshall Regain His Life
Donation protected
Our son, Ben Marshall, who lives in Edwards, Colorado was recently hospitalized due to heart failure associated with Alcohol Use Disorder (AUD). He was hospitalized for three days in Vail and then transferred to The Swedish Medical Center in Englewood, Colorado on August 25th because of his need for more intense medical procedures. He was in a medical induced coma for seven days and stayed in the intensive critical care unit of Swedish for a total of twelve days. We almost lost him on two different occasions. He experienced heart failure and his kidneys, liver and lungs were severely affected because of the AUD. However, Ben was detoxed and with the excellent care of the Swedish ICU staff, he survived and was released on September 8th.
Prior to his hospitalization, he was released from his employment at the Ritz Carlton in Vail. His medical insurance was terminated. He was devastated by this action and experienced severe depression.
Ben will need to enter some form of rehabilitation within the next few weeks. He is also undergoing intense physical therapy and has other serious medical appointments in the very near future. It will truly be a long and difficult road to complete recovery for our son.
We are asking for financial support to cover the rehabilitation, hospital bills, insurance premiums and assistance with everyday living until he is well enough to once again become employed. Hopefully, we will reach our goal by the end of the year.
Thank you very much for your consideration in assisting in our efforts to allow our son, Ben, to return to a normal and healthy life.
