Dear friends, family, and kind-hearted strangers,
It is with a heavy heart that I share the news that my little brother, Ben Ivers, has been diagnosed with stage 4 bowel cancer. Unfortunately, the cancer has spread to his liver, adrenal glands, lungs, and brain. He is currently undergoing intensive chemotherapy and radiation treatments, but the road ahead is long, and the battle is incredibly tough.
Ben is not only a fighter—he is a loving husband to his pregnant wife, Lauren, and a devoted father to their three beautiful daughters, Claire, Molly, and Amelia. His family means everything to him, and every day they are his motivation to keep pushing forward. This diagnosis has turned their world upside down, but they remain hopeful and united in this fight.
The reality of his situation is that Ben has been unable to carry out full time work up until now and is staggering his return around medical appointments. The financial strain on his family is overwhelming. With ongoing chemotherapy, radiation, medications, and mounting medical bills, the financial challenges continue to grow. Therefore, we’re asking for your help—to ease the financial pressure on Ben and his family. Donations will go directly to supporting everyday living expenses, medical costs, and covering the cost of treatments and travel for care, so Ben can focus on his recovery and his family can stay afloat during this difficult period.
In addition to donations, we also ask for your prayers, encouragement, and positive energy. Every bit of support—whether it’s through sharing this campaign or sending kind words—will help our family stay strong during this trying time.
Thank you so much for your generosity, love, and support. It means the world to us, and together, we can help Ben stay strong for his family and continue his fight against cancer.
With heartfelt gratitude,
Chelsea Shelley and Family
