Support 3-Year-Old Ben Fenton’s Cancer Fight

Donation protected
We have included an updated photo of sweet Ben. ❤️

His mommy Bailey shared a heart-wrenching and honest post on her social media. With her permission we are going to share it here as an update:

This is what 3 weeks of steroids (chemo) can do. I know most of you are used to the Ben in the top picture, happy, healthy, silly, and so much energy he could barely contain himself. Our reality for the last month has been much different. He has gone from 36lbs to 50lbs in a couple weeks- this weight will come off after some time when off steroids (he got his last dose today) but he has no energy, he is sad and cranky and mad all the time, he doesn’t want to play.
I miss him.
miss the him from before.
Because Leukaemia is a timeline changer- there is now before and there is after.
I miss the before I miss seeing him laugh and smile I miss seeing him play and run around. I would do anything to go back and appreciate the healthy toddler who never stoped.
Yesterday Ben went on a tricycle and I helped push him and we went down the hallway and back and it made me emotional because that was the most he has moved in over 2 weeks.
He has a large clot in his right side so his foot to hip is completely swollen. He is in constant pain in his bones and isn’t able to stand without assistance. It feels like we are always at the hospital and that there is always a complication.
This has been a journey I wish upon no one. It’s a situation you can’t really understand unless you have lived it and I hope no one has to live it so they can understand. Luckily Lirin is the best baby but she is still a baby.
I don’t like posting pictures of him in his most vulnerable state but I feel like those that care about him and us need to see a fraction of what we are going through.

✨ Every donation matters, even $5 makes a difference. Thank you to all who have donated, and a special thank you to you!

Dear friends, family, and kind-hearted strangers,

Hi, my name is Cari, proud aunt to Ben and proud big sister to Bailey. Here is a little bit about why I am reaching out to you.

I have a heavy heart as I write this to ask for support for my sister, Bailey, her husband, Braydon, and their sweet little family. In the early hours of Saturday, January 25th, their world was turned upside down when their 3 year-old son, Ben, was diagnosed with T-cell Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia (T-ALL).

Ben is receiving treatment at BC Children’s Hospital in Vancouver, while his parents juggle the unimaginable—being by his side, caring for their 3-month-old baby, and trying to navigate the financial and emotional strain that comes with such a devastating diagnosis. Ben is expected to continue treatment over the course of the next 3 years.

Why We Need Your Help

As you can imagine, the next few years will bring countless unexpected expenses—travel, meals, lost income, and so much more that no family should ever have to worry about while fighting for their child’s life, and helping them through recovery.

Bailey and Braydon’s focus needs to be fully on Ben and his baby sister without the stress of mounting financial burdens. Our goal is to ease their worries so they can provide Ben with the love and support he needs during this intense medical journey.

How You Can Make a Difference

If you find it in your heart to contribute, any amount—big or small—will go directly toward:
✔️ Medical & Treatment-Related Costs (not covered by insurance)
✔️ Travel & Accommodations (between Vancouver and Langley)
✔️ Meals & Daily Living Expenses
✔️ Lost Income Over the Next Couple of Years (as they step away from work to be with Ben)
✔️ Other expenses that cannot be foreseen

If you are unable to donate, please share this fundraiser and send love, prayers, and positive energy to my incredible family. Your kindness and generosity mean the world to them.

Let us show Bailey, Braydon, and their beautiful babies that they are not alone in this fight. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts for your support.

With love and gratitude,
Cari
