Help Ben Find Answers - Salford 10k

Hello everyone,

I’m reaching out on behalf of my friend and colleague, Ben, who is courageously facing an incredibly difficult health journey.

Over the past three years, Ben has battled a series of unexplained and debilitating health issues, leading to multiple hospital admissions and leaving doctors struggling to reach a diagnosis. Despite his unwavering resilience, his condition continues to deteriorate.

Ben has lost an alarming 9 stone in weight, suffers from blood clots, ulcers in his lower intestines, pneumonia in his lungs, and most recently has suffered a broken leg due to a fall. This has left him unable to work and provide for his family.

As Ben’s friends and colleagues, we are determined to do all we can to support him. To raise awareness and much-needed funds, members of staff at Watt Utilities will be taking part in a series of fundraisers, starting with a group of us taking on The Media City 10km run on Thursday 29th May. We also have plans for a sky-dive, as well as a family-fun day.

We need your support.

Your donations will go towards helping Ben cover the costs of specialist treatments, therapies, essential living expenses, and hopefully a private diagnosis to get to the root cause of his health issues. Most importantly, your generosity will give Ben strength and reassurance, showing him that he’s surrounded by people who care deeply.

This 10km run is more than just a physical challenge - it’s a symbol of our solidarity and commitment to standing with Ben through his toughest times.
