Update: While Ben does in fact have leukemia, he got the best news that he could today. He was diagnosed with a type of leukemia called CML or chronic myeloid leukemia. It was the best case scenario for his diagnosis.

Our beloved Ben Brucker was admitted to LEMC on 8/18/2025. He was sent to the ED because he was having troubles with his eyes. After standard blood work, Ben received the news we all fear. Ben quickly was transferred up to OHSU to start his treatment for Leukemia. He is remaining optimistic and taking this news one day at a time. We will know more about his road ahead after he gets the results of his bone marrow biopsy.
