On March 28th, our Ben went in for, what we thought was a burst appendix. 4.5 hours later, It turned out to be a mass on his appendix that caused his lower intestine to rupture. It filled his gut with puss and bile. His kidneys were going septic and he was severly dehydrated. They also found a mass the size of a golf ball behind his stomach.
The first 48 hours they filled him with fluids to rehydrate him and hopefully save is kidneys. It worked! We believe prayer and fluids kept our son from becoming septic and saving his kidneys.
He was in the hospital 7 days recuperating. He will be out of work 3 weeks. He has a deductible of $5,500 and various appointments ahead of him.
One will be with oncology, the one mess that was connected to his appendix turned out to be cancer. The other mass was benign. They believe they have removed all of the cancer, but we will be doing further testing to make sure the cancer is gone! We pray there is not! We pray there will be no more cancer in his future, ever!
All that said, he needs money for the deductible. Please give as the Lord leads, and if you can't give, pray! Pray for healing for.his stomach and stomach muscles. There is a 5 inch wound down the middle of his abdomen, it was needed to be able to get all the junk out. Also prayers his current employer can find him a position in the warehouse he can do sitting down for the next few months, prayers for the money to pay for that deductible, and prayers for no more cancer in his body! Thank you so much for whatever you can do. God bless you! - The Hatlevig/Hutman Family
