In Loving Memory of Vickie Larsen Hultstrand – Support for Ben and Their Children
With deep sorrow, we share the heartbreaking news of the sudden loss of Vickie Larsen Hultstrand, who tragically passed away in a car accident on 7/20/2025. Vicki was a vibrant soul, a dedicated wife, and a loving mother. She was a member of the first freshman class at Santiago High School, where she excelled as a cheerleader. Her warmth, kindness, and devotion to her family will never be forgotten.
Vickie leaves behind her husband Ben, who is now facing the unimaginable task of becoming the sole provider and a single parent to their three children, two daughters 14 & 11 and a 2 year old son . The youngest, requires extra care, and Vickie’s role as the primary house manager was central to the family’s daily routine and well-being.
As Ben steps into this new and incredibly difficult role, the family is faced not only with the emotional loss but also with significant financial challenges. This GoFundMe has been created to support Ben and his children as they navigate the road ahead. Contributions will help with funeral and celebration of life expenses.
Your support, whether big or small, will provide vital assistance as Ben raises his children in this new chapter. Please keep Ben and the children in your thoughts and prayers. Every donation is deeply appreciated, and your kindness will help ease the burdens they now face.
Thank you for your generosity during this incredibly difficult time.
UPDATE: We are incredibly moved by the overwhelming love, support, and generosity this community has shown in the wake of Vickie’s passing. Your donations, kind messages, and shared memories have been a powerful reminder of how many lives Vickie touched — and how strong the village is that now surrounds her family.
At this time, Ben and the kids are being cared for by a close-knit circle of family, friends, and members of their dance community. They are taking a few much-needed days to grieve, rest, and begin processing this unimaginable loss.
We kindly ask that everyone gives the family the time and space they need to grieve. Messages will be returned at the appropriate time, and your patience is deeply appreciated. Please know that even if replies are delayed, your support is felt and valued more than words can express.
We will continue to provide updates — including details about Vickie’s Celebration of Life — as soon as they are available.
Thank you for lifting this family up during their darkest days.
— With love and gratitude
