Aloha family, many of you know that I am 6 months pregnant and had a very rough pregnancy the first 4/5 months, where I was diagnosed with Hyperemesis Gravidarum. This is the most severe type of "morning sickness." I was unable to work my job and barely able to keep food and water down. Constantly sick to the point of dehydration. Although I am on the come up, I am still not quite to the place of being able to hold down a job. Which unfortunately leaves me in a tough situation, being supported by my mother...who is not really in a position to financially support me either, but doing her best. The father and I are not together and he is unwilling to help pay for midwifery care until a paternity test is completed (after birth).
If you know me, you know I am more of the natural type. Although I haven't been in control of my life at all while being pregnant, the one thing I can and want to control, is how I bring my little one into this world. I want to do things the natural way, with a midwife, at home water birth, in a calming environment. I feel very passionately about this and will be very disappointed if I have to go the other route of hospital birth. (I don't necessarily feel safe in hospitals and want the transition from Ether -Womb - Earth to be as smoothe and peaceful for little one as possible)
While I am approved for government assistance, Insurance does not cover midwifery in MO where I had to temporarily move back home with my mom, due to not being able to care for myself fully. I've also applied for disability, but have been waiting on them to approve or deny me for about 4 months now. They have JUST denied me and I have appealed, although I need to secure and be seen by a midwife asap. I'm due 6/30/2025 so time is ticking! Only about 4 months left before this new soul arrives!
My appointment is 3/4/2025 and I need deposit by this Friday 3/7/2025.
We thought we could cover it, but turns out it didn't pan out that way.
With all of that being said, I am calling out to my loved ones and community to help me secure my new midwife!
In doing so I need $500 for my down deposit in order to secure my first appointment and continue getting her services. After that it moves into a payment plan.
I appreciate all that my community and loved ones have done for me already and am blown away by the support I received while down in the first 4 months! I am beyond blessed and definitely feel the love!
If you feel called to help me on this journey know that so much of my gratitude and love extends to you for your support. Even if it's $1, every penny counts! No amount goes unnoticed.
If you've made it this far in the reading, Thank you for your time and interest in me and my little one!
If you aren't in a place to donate or don't feel called, please share this post. In sharing you are still supporting our journey and my gratitude and love also extends to you!
With a warm heart,
Bella
